So this is college?

Spring Quarter - Freshman
I feel as though I finally reach that epiphany that I'm in college. That these years could be my best depending on what decisions I choose for my future. Finally, my future have these words ever sound so frightening and electrifying in my life, because this is finally a new start that could effect where I stand 10 years from now. It's crazy how many freshman have come in expecting to become doctors, engineers and lawyers only to be smack down by the cold reality, that it's not that easy. As freshman, conversant about our goal, major, dreams; all so freely we say we want to be this and that, when the really question is "How much do you want it? How much are you willing to risk? sacrifice?" When I hear these frivolous comment I can't help but be reminded of Sean Walker's virtue on success:

"If you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe after being under water for more than a minute
then you’ll be successful in life. You will not care about a TV-show, a basketball game or anything
else, as the only thing that is in your mind is to catch some fresh air. Whenever you get to the point
where all you would like to be is successful as bad as you would want to breathe, then you will be
successful! I’m here to tell you that most of you say you want to be successful but you don’t want it
bad enough, you just kinda want it."
